How to View a Cached Page After Google Removed the Cache Link

Google has recently removed the feature that shows the cached version of web pages from its search results. As a result, users can no longer view a page’s cache directly from the SERP.
Below you will see two different ways to display cached pages, and I ask you to pay attention to both.

Viewing cached pages with a Bookmarklet

Bookmarklets are script programs that sit in your browser’s address bar and let you run a specific action by clicking them. In effect you store a simple script as a browser bookmark, and when you click it your command is carried out on the page. To view the cached version of a page, use a Bookmarklet in your browser together with the code below: it adds a control to the browser that opens the page’s cached copy in a new window when you click it.

This bookmarklet reads the page’s cached version from Google’s database and displays it in another tab.

1. Open your browser and create a new bookmark
2. In the window that opens, enter any name you like in the bookmark’s name field, for example “Google cache”.
3. Enter the script below in the address field and then save the bookmark
javascript:void(window.open(%27https://www.google.com/search?strip=1&q=cache:%27+window.location.href,%27_blank%27));
A bookmark named Google cache in the browser's bookmarks bar
This adds a bookmark to your browser’s bookmarks bar, and on whichever page you are on you can click it to see that page’s cached version in a new tab. A bookmarklet works like a button: on any page you click it, the cached copy of that page is read from the database and served to you.

Viewing cached pages with the cache operator

Google’s operators are commands that produce a particular action in the search results depending on their type. To see the cached version of a page, you can do it easily with the cache operator.
1. Open your browser and enter this link in the address field
2. Now replace my site name with your own page address and press Enter, and the cached version of that page opens for you
https://www.google.com/search?q=cache:omidbodagh.ir
Enter this address in your browser and replace my address with yours to see the cached version of it.
Since the cache operator means typing an address, which can be awkward for non-Latin or percent-encoded URLs, I recommend building a Bookmarklet instead: with the script above you get a Google cache button in your browser.
