For your cPanel emails to be forwarded to Gmail, once you have finished the steps in cPanel you have to make some settings in Gmail as well:
Step 1:
1. Sign in to your Gmail account.
2. Click the gear icon in the top right corner and choose “See all settings”.
Step 2:
1. On the “Accounts and Import” tab, go to “Check mail from other accounts”.
2. Click “Add a mail account”.
Step 3:
1. Enter your cPanel email address in the “Email address” box.
2. Click “Next step”.
Step 4:
1. Choose the method that enters the POP3 or IMAP information by hand.
2. Click “Next step”.
Step 5:
1. At this step you enter the details of the POP3 or IMAP server for your cPanel account.
POP3 settings:
* Username: your full cPanel email address
* Password: the password of your cPanel email account
* POP3 server: a placeholder stands here, left where an invalid address was removed (type your own domain name in its place)
* POP3 port: 995
IMAP settings:
* Username: your full cPanel email address
* Password: the password of your cPanel email account
* IMAP server: enter the address of your own mail server
* IMAP port: 993
Step 6:
1. After entering the details, click “Add account”.
2. Gmail asks you to let your cPanel account access Gmail. Click “Allow”.
Step 7:
1. Gmail receives your cPanel emails and forwards them automatically.
2. To make sure, send one test message to your cPanel address and check whether it shows up in Gmail.
Notes:
If you already use Gmail to pull mail in from other accounts, the steps above are the same.
In the POP3 settings you can turn on “Delete messages from the server after they are downloaded”, so that an email is removed from your cPanel server once it has been forwarded to Gmail.
In the IMAP settings you can turn on “Keep a copy of received messages in Gmail”, so that a copy of the emails stays on your cPanel server.
