In the research carried out by Dr. Ellen Langer of Harvard University, a series of people were asked to approach a stranger and request to use the printer without waiting in line.
According to the results, if you used the sentence “May I use the printer before you?” you had a 61% chance of hearing a yes from that stranger.
But with the sentence “May I use the printer before you, because I am in a hurry?” they got a yes from the stranger 89% of the time.
In your own sentences, if you answer these questions briefly and quickly, your conversion rate will go up
Who is this person?
What does this person want?
Why should I serve them?
For example, the sentence
“This is a phone with a powerful processor and high RAM”
has a lower chance of a sale than the sentence
“This is a phone with a powerful processor and high RAM, suited to gaming and photography”.
